Resident Evil Review: Final Chapter

The story of Alice Abernathy comes to an end on January 27 with the premiere in theaters of ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’. A plot that millions of fans of the saga started by Milla Jovovich already know firsthand.

The new film’s most famous saga of zombies, Resident Evil: Final Chapter is directed by Paul WS Anderson (Pompeii, The Three Musketeers, Death Race) and starring Milla Jovovich again. Resident Evil Movie Synopsis: Final Chapter

Alice (Milla Jovovich) is one of the last survivors of the great apocalypse that humanity has lived since the first expansion of the Virus T, which has involved facing hordes of undead. We met immediately after the events of  Resident Evil: Revenge  (2012). After the betrayal of Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) on his arrival in Washington DC, Alice will have to return to Racoon City, that is, to the point where the expansion of this deadly virus began. There, the Umbrella Corporation is gathering forces before the final attack on the last survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time, Alice will have to rely on old comrades, as well as a new and unexpected ally. It will be a battle packed with action against hordes of zombies and new mutant monsters. Between having lost her superhuman abilities and the imminent attack of Umbrella, this will be the most difficult adventure of Alice to save the humanity, that is on the verge of being forgotten.

In a world where video game adaptations have ended up being a complete disaster a saga of zombies, Resident Evil, has remained afloat but it must be said, adapting to the video game and almost has nothing, is an alternate story to which The fans of the video game know and after several stories, this comes to an end. For those of us who have followed this saga, we know that the latest films were giving much to be desired as they only appeared to take action scenes in novel ways but no good stories to tell. Nevertheless, this last story that is going to tell us of the personage of Alice leaves us with a good taste of mouth, since not only closes of good form the plot but also it has its own seal, something that we liked in the first film of the saga.

The character of Alice is no longer that heroine who seemed to be a cartoon character, has a profound notion of humanity that struggles to find its reason for being, has weaknesses and strengths that make others want to follow it still without any idea Because of That is something that we thank the director, who lets us see with a new approach to this character and makes us empathize with it. Also mention the actor Iain Glen, who turns out to be a clearly very interesting villain and with goals that make us reflect on these times, his only but the scenes that seem to be based on another classic villain (Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes: Game Of Shadows). This game between them two is what gives the turning point to the movie, while the other characters are only good secondary.

It is not a movie that will mark the world much less but is an excellent outcome for a saga that was losing its bellows and makes us want to see them all again.
