Dartmoor – One of the last wild landscapes in Britain, Dartmoor national park is home to many deer, who are about to begin their mating rituals. The stag rut, as it is known, is when you can see violent clashes between stags as they fight for a mate, and Dartmoor is a great place to go if you hope to spot this.

The Forest of Dean – This vast area of ancient forest is a great place to walk to enjoy the changing colours of the autumn leaves. It is also home to many different creatures, including the rare Goshawks, who you may spot gliding between the trees.

The New Forest – This area is well known for its spectacular beauty and array of landscapes, from the forest to the coast. Many visitors come to see the New Forest ponies, one of the most famous inhabitants of the forest, as well as to enjoy the scenery.
