80.6m Green Heating Funding Package Announced

With the drive to push households and countries across the world to net-zero carbon emissions, more funding than ever is currently available from the UK Government, in order to encourage people to make the switch.

Last year, homes across the UK installed heat pumps, supported by Government funding incentives, at a new record level. 52% more of the low-carbon heating systems were installed in comparison to the previous year.

Funding

There will be 4 new projects rolling out across the country, in a bid to increase the take up of green heating. They will include a significant £80.6 million in funding.

Amongst the chosen projects, there has been significant investment in a drive towards the installation of heat pumps in homes and commercial buildings.

The deadline for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme has also been extended, meaning that there is funding available to make the switch from fossil-fuel boilers, over to heat pumps.

The aim is to put the UK at the forefront of energy saving and carbon-reduced initiatives, whilst also assisting people with the escalating costs associated with energy bills.

Suppliers

Heat pumps work by taking heat, increasing its temperature, and feeding it back into homes as a source of power.
